Timepass thingies!!!

Ever wondered why you always anticipate the holidays but when they come you wish you had something to do? Hi 5 then!! You have so much time that you get confused as to what to do. Not all times though. Sometimes you just wanna do a lotta stuff at the same time. Like the time when I was listening to No More tears and chatting with my friend and I absent mindedly air guitared on the keyboard. My friend ended up reading a lot of trash.

SOmetimes you somehow end up listening songs you've never listened to before and find them so amazing that you put up the song ( if u get it ) or the lyrics here.
Like this ( :D)

For the love of God!!

Without further ado I tell you my tale. DID NOT leave a good taste n my mouth. After much expectation , Mr. Bean's Holiday released near my place. SO Ten of us guys decided to hang out there. In the end that is what we ended up doing mostly, more than watching the movie even.

The movie was C.R.A.P. I might be a tad harsh here. But the disappointment overwhelms me. I've always looked at bean as the guy who plugs a torch in his underwear which he wears on his head. Now what do you he can jump up and down and stamp all over the place when he is angry!! Well it doesn't take a genius to see that because voila! , almost every ten minutes he does that.
And you don't have to worry about spoilers because most of the movie has been aired on pogo itself( as that animated toon, So says my friend)

One possible explanation could be that I am 18 now and kiddy movies don't lure me anymore. Tell that to a guy who doesn't see Johnny test or dexter's lab! Because I see them both and I LOVE em. I could have sworn that an 8 year old behind me was more interested in his pop corn than old bean-O prancing around.

Well nonetheless, there were a few really humorous and cool scenes in that movie.
For example

1) When he steals the guys bike and he walks up and catches him.
2)The scene near the beach where they take photos.
3)The Carson clay movie premiere.
4)The bean video show
5)The drawings on the ID card

The dance for the money could have been better if they had made it a little shorter.

Except for these the movie sucks. Totally. Even the dry humour was missing in some parts.
I guess Rowan Atkinson himself took a hint and decided not to act in any more bean movies again. I just saw that news in the paper.

I just wish he had ended Bean on a high. The ending scene of the movie is the LAMEST I've ever seen. This movie is just one of those sequels which never turn out good. Hail Mr. Bean ( the first one) !

But somehow something tells me Mr. Bean in vidumurai ( Read in tamil) will make good money in our little state here!

The unspoken words...

Well quite a lot of interesting people seemed to have been born on july the 18th. See here.

As a matter of fact I was born then too. I did not have too dramatic an entry into this world I should say. I just existed. A form with a name. But my existence was justified by the fact that I satisfied one person's continual demands. He was one weird guy. He wanted me to be the way he liked. Talk about control freaks!!

But no matter what he kept talking to me. At times I was his only companion.
We had a special bond. He gave me life you see. We grew up together. Had fun together. He gave me an identity. He never left me alone for a long time continuously. Even if he did his friends never left me.

I've come a long way from there. I've turned 75 now. In my teens I must say. Here's for all the times we've had together.

Cheers ,
An Idle Mind

Yay! My blog shares Priyanka Chopra's birthday!! Little world ain't it??

P.S : One year of college just ended. Happy times. I leave you with one of the most serene spots in my campus. The one near the IM canteen where there's food on one side and ducks on the other.

Nothing much

Today we're adding autosaving of draft posts to the Blogger post editor. Now you don't have to feel so bad about browser crashes, random laptop restarts, or that hamster vs. gerbil war going on behind your desk that keeps knocking your power cord out of the socket, because Blogger is automatically saving as you type! It's doing it to me right now. Even if I...

*smash*

Whoops! I just pretended that my browser crashed for the purpose of illustrating that the above paragraph is still intact, thanks to autosave! So say "goodbye" to lost blog posts. You won't miss them.

As you work on a new or draft post in the Blogger post editor, the page will periodically send a copy of the text, title, labels, etc. to our servers. We do this about once a minute, unless you type a lot, in which case we'll save as soon as you stop typing, just to be on the safe side. You'll know it's happening because the "Save Now" button at the bottom of the page will turn into a gray "Saved" button.

We'll autosave new posts (they'll become drafts) as well as draft posts that you edit. We won't autosave posts that are currently published, since you don't want your readers to see your updates while you're working on them.

On top of this, we're revamping the post editor's keyboard shortcuts to make them a bit more sane. Now Ctrl-P publishes, Ctrl-S saves a draft, and Ctrl-D switches from published to draft. We moved Preview over to Ctrl-Shift-P.

Not bad eh? This is what I should be doing after three years or so. Or something like this. Innovations. But whatever you do everything seems the same doesn't it ? Monotony is boring.

Why do I have to catch the same old bus to college? The government answered that question by letting out two new buses.

Why is cartoon network boring nowadays? Answered again by bringing DragonBallz back.

Do people make good tamil movies nowadays? Answered by Chennai 600028...

Why am I doing this now? Because I like it.

Well the last one is one are where I like monotony. I like to do whatever I do. I don't want that to change.

So. Another useless post. A useless'er' fact to conclude this.

The only innovation I've managed so far is to turn a blank wall into an entertaining thing which I can stare at for a long time without getting bored.

Impossible is nothing.

A class act...

My second post for today....

Frustration and rock music combine well. And Rock music is nothing without Metallica. You listen to James Hetfield singing and Kirk Hammett at the guitar and you forget everything. One such song is this.....

Lay beside me, tell me what they've done
Speak the words I wanna hear, to make my demons run
The door is locked now, but it's opened if you're true
If you can understand the me, then I can understand the you

Lay beside me, under wicked sky
Through black of day, dark of night, we share this pair of lives
The door cracks open, but there's no sun shining through
Black heart scarring darker still, but there's no sun shining through
No, there's no sun shining through
No, there's no sun shining

What I've felt, what I've known
Turn the pages, turn to stone
Behind the door, should I open it for you?

Yeah
What I've felt, what I've known
Sick and tired, I stand alone
Could you be there, 'cause I'm the one that waits for you
Or are you unforgiven too?

Come lay beside me, this won't hurt I swear
She loves me not, she loves me still, but she'll never love again
She lay beside me, but she'll be there when I'm gone
Black heart scarring darker still, yet she'll be there when I'm gone
Yes she'll be there when I'm gone
Dead sure she'll be there

What I've felt, what I've known
Turn the pages, turn to stone
Behind the door, should I open it for you?

What I've felt, what I've known
Sick and tired, I stand alone
Could you be there, cause I'm the one that waits for you
Or are you unforgiven too?

Lay beside me, tell me what I've done
The door is closed, so are your eyes
But now I see the sun, now I see the sun
Yes, now I see it

What I've felt, what I've known
Turn the pages, turn to stone
Behind the door, should I open it for you

What I've felt, what I've known
So sick and tired, I stand alone
Could you be there, cause I'm the one that waits
The one that waits for you

Oh, what I've felt, what I've known
Turn the pages, turn to stone
Behind the door, should I open it for you

Oh, what I've felt
Oh, what I've known

I'll take this key
And I'll bury it in you
Because you're unforgiven too

Never free
Never me
Because you're unforgiven too

Listen to him going "What I've felt What I've known.......",and if you don't feel anything then, sorry you're wasted!! I guess that's a bit rude. Different people have different tastes. But if you don't like it don't tell me!! :D

To metallica!!

Shittiest luck

Exams nearing. All the buzz about studying somehow miraculously starts even in the most sleepy places. I will never understand why we study for marks. I don't object that I don't want marks but given a chance to choose between CGPA or percentage I'd go for the latter( Neither if possible). But anyway like I can't make the dog pee in the bathroom I can't make the grades go away. So it is satisfactory for me if I get the maximum in the subjects I like. Which are Programming and English. And a bit of math too.

Last semester I managed to get what I want in Coding and english. Want more? I was the only one in my class to get 'S' ( that/s the highest ) in english . (I'm blowing my trumpet I know :D...Eppoyavadhu thaan chance e kidaikkudhu).....So this semester I decided to make it two outta two.

I got 26 on 30 in the first test. So I figured my internal marks are safe. And also I got 18 outta 20 for the seminar I handled. And I got 58 outta 60 in the final test too. Kinda like the fairy tale ending eh? Nohoooooooo. That can't happen can it?

It seemed very very possible though.

That's when they decided to take an average for the twenty internal marks.

An average of the first two test marks.

And what had I done before they let out this fact?

I had cut the second test.

And to rub salt in the wound it turned out that I had needed just 15 on 30 in the second test to get an 'S'.

Time...

I went to the railway station one fine day, or night rather. It was one of those summer special trains my relatives had to catch. By rule all trains should be late. And that is one rule Indian trains never violate. I took the time to stroll down the platform. Rats. Everywhere on the rails. A family of them wriggling around like vermin. I moved my eyes away in disgust. What met my eyes now was exactly the opposite. I stood in a trance. It was a pretty girl in yellow. Standing there near her father. I could not take my eyes off her. I did not care if she saw me looking at her. Which was exactly what was going to happen next if I continued what I was doing. She played with her hair a bit. Then looked up and saw me standing. I could not help but smile. Surprisingly she smiled back. A REAL smile. Not one just out of compulsion. One that came from inside. Half hour passed quickly. The train came. It left.....

She was 8...

Cha...!

Innocence is by far the greatest victim of time.

One year of my college life has passed. Like the train of time which took me 10 years away from her.

In our hearts all of us are babies . Atleast in a small corner. Yesterday , may 2nd was WORLD BABY DAY. How do I know? A friend of mine wished me, with a big grin. I just smiled. Then wished back.

Remember, a smile is one reason why God gave us muscles.

Live. Don't just exist.
