Life and I kissed and made up.  :)
After all, life IS beautiful.  ;)

I had a really nice day. But SOMEHOW I end up being pissed off with this entire world.
Totally not fair.

Down, down , down and down till you hear the plunk echoing off the walls.
And then further down.

Thoughts

The feel of cold rain, on your skin as you stand arms stretched wide.
A long walk in the slightest of drizzles, amid mild sunshine.

Silence, with friends around, which no one feels like breaking.
Conferences with your best friends,  oh-so--confusing!

The feeling of learning something for the first time.
The satisfaction on getting work done on time.

Dinner at the table, mom, dad, bro and me.
Wisps of smoke curling up from a warm cup of coffee .

Laughing with F.R.I.E.N.D.S and  House's sarcastic takes.
Laughing out loud, till tears form and your gut aches.

Looking at someone you like, when they don't know it.
And them doing the same when you don't know it.

Those little things called thoughts, flitting low and high.
Thoughts in your head; thoughts in mine.

Tonty koshins.

'Bin tagged by P.I after a long time I guess. Anyway, this is quite small, so even my laziness does not prevail. Predominantly mushy tag. Tut tut.

1. If your lover betrayed you, what will your reaction be?

Probably a very filmy "nahiiiiiiiin", a beard and alcohol. Then I'll spread the moroseness around. :P

2. If you can have a dream to come true, what would it be?

This. (I wrote this long back, so ignore any mistakes spellingwise and meaningwise :P)

3. Whose butt would you not like to kick? (I changed the question)

Any supermodel's butt. Full of bones. I'll hurt myself. All other butts form a line. 5 bucks a kick.

4. What would you do with a billion dollars?

Firstly, I wouldn't save. Secondly, I'll buy myself a Murcielago. Thirdly, the best-est game station imaginable. Then, I'll go for a world tour. Then, scale Mt. Everest. Fulfill certain promises. Then the rest, I don't have use for. I'll gladly have my life back. Not bad eh? :D

5. Will you fall in love with your best friend?
Que sera, sera. .

6. Which is more blessed, loving someone or being loved by someone?
Blessed is he who do not frameth such stupid questions.

7. How long do you intend to wait for someone you really love?
I don't "Intend" on waiting at all in the first place.

8. If the person you secretly like is already attached, what would you do?
I'll continue secretly liking that person. Simple. :P

9. If you like to act with someone, who will it be? your gf/bf or an actress/actor?
The Cast :

Tom hanks.

Morgan Freeman

Christian Bale

Jessica alba.

Katheryn winnick.

Jennifer Connelly.

Me.

Her.

10. What takes you down the fastest?

Pretense.

11. How would you see yourself in ten years time?
In a mirror? :-?

12. What’s your fear?
Heights ( a little), Lizards and fear of ending up with a woman who says "Pweees, chweet" etc

13. What kind of person do you think the person who tagged you is?
Compulsive reader. Harmless. Kind at heart.

14. Would you rather be single and rich or married but poor?
Single and rich. I quote Christian bale from "3:10 to yuma" .

If I don't go, we gotta pack up and leave. Now I'm tired, Alice. I'm tired of watching my boys go hungry. I'm tired of the way that they look at me. I'm tired of the way that you don't.

I'm not a fan of "We'll be happy as long as we're together. We don;t need money." There will always be something missing.Happily Married and with enough money to go by, would be my choice.

15. What’s the first thing you do when you wake up?
Sit up and do nothing for a minute or two.

16. Would you give all in a relationship?
As long as she's a good person and I love her a lot. Wouldn't hurt the cause if she was pretty. :P

17. If you fall in love with two people simultaneously, who would you pick?
She'd have to have a good character for me to fall in love with. If it's a tie when you consider "Quality of the time you have with the two" & "Understanding", then I'll go for whoever's prettier.

But then all this is hypothetical. Sigh.

18. Would you forgive and forget, no matter how horrible a thing someone has done?
Forgive, yes. Forget depends on the amount of horridness (Is that a word?)

19.Do you prefer being single or having a relationship?
Refer sixth answer.. Duh, of course both at different times of life.

20. I tag,

Aravind, Sharanya, Upasana,VijayAparna, Shrey(Sorry man, I needed six people:P)

*Internals just got over. Did kinda good. Loved Java especially.

*Internals make you write in points. In the blog, even.

*My phone's bluetooth name is Dvorty. A virtual pat on the back for anybody who finds out why.

*Fed's back. I knew I was right when I swore allegiance to him for life.

*1 Kg Rice for Re.1 in Tamilnadu. Man, these politicians are a hoot!!

*A lizard got squished in the door hinges,a some time back. This is what remains. Nothing nasty though.

*"Fantastic quotes and where to find them" - A book soon to be released. It has only one page with only one sentence. "In sharan's head". (Well, there you go, one just popped out of my head!). Yes, Modesty is NOT my middle name.

*I'm planning on writing a story - "How Gopal mehta got placed, got bored and lost his life.". Planning phase, however, lasts long, really long. Ting tong.

*Rain with wind is an awesome thing to look at. The spray that hits you through the window is bliss. :)

*Diamond twister, level 15 is frustrating. Time runs out just when I'm about to finish the level.

*Coimbatore theatres have achieved an all time low in the suckiness scale. Apparently, according to them, a hindi movie called "rock up" is releasing this friday. (Isis spotted this in the paper).

*Blogger is making a decent, praiseworthy attempt to match wordpress blow for blow. Still some way to go, though.

*Metallica released their latest album "Death Magnetic".  \m/

*There's no use in blaming the door if you stubbed your toe on it. It can't move out of your way. (This is the most philosophical I'm going to get all this week)

*Wah Taj!

*As we sleep, A large Hadron Collider is going to be operated for the first time, accelerating particles to velocities akin to that of light, half way across the world, in the quest of the elusive Higgs particle, or rather, "The particle of God". Hawking bets a 100 bucks that they won't find it. :)).  Nevertheless, it'll still answer a lot of questions about dark matter. So either way, a breakthrough.

It's time iSleep.

Funny place, this, if you consider dark humor.

A couple of not-so-interesting weeks I've had of late.
Lazy, downright irritating, painful and a little satisfacory as it rounded the corner.

Classes are mundane-r than ever, my note taking skills(if it even existed) has gone past the drain into the sewers now. The only class which seems interesting is Scientific computing but even that gets boring after a while. Lunch hour is the glue that holds the day apart. Seriously. If not for the mafia sessions, and the cow-bull games during class hours, I would have become interest-deprived.

It is frustratingly painful if your ear hurts.Period. A sharp pan which goes away is even ok, but NO, this won't. This was the sort of nagging pain which never really ached much but always reminded you that it was there. Bloody frustrating.

Time, the elusive temptress keeps running away faster than i can catch up. One day I woke up and before i know it I'm faced with deadlines in every subject. I somehow submit everything and I it is already time for the next. Meanwhile "To kill a mockingbird" and "Canterbury tales" wait in the wings. The pressure for results is at an all time high. One cnsiderable high was "Potterific" which went on smoothly and can be considered a success.

Four, five days back Dad, mom and me had gone to some temples in kumbakonam and the villages around it. The roads were narrow and rugged, but the lush green of the surrounding fields mor ethan made up for it. The temples, part of the 108 divyadesams, were almost abandoned with 2 or 3 people at each temple, some with not even that luxury. One such temple wa slocked and the caretaker explained to us the stories in a way which made us wonder why he wasnt the priest. And he only gets 400 rs a month for all this dedication and faith. The world is a funny place.

In another temple, a retired headmaster used his pension to build a house in that village and stay in the temple as there was no one to tend to it. He stays up and opens the gates and explains to anyone who comes at anytime. When asked why, he says he had the misfortune of going to a temple once and findig it locked, he had to wait there for 4 hrs and as a result, he couldn't go to a few other places on his plan. He did not want visitors to experience what he felt. And, yes there's more, he wasn;t going to attend his son's wedding the next day even, for the temple will be without a hand. Again I say, the world is a funny place.

We live in a world where powercuts have become nuisances when we should be glad that we have power even. Yes I am irritated too, by these frequent absences of power in our neighborhood. This made me realise what the so called innovations have done to us. They've made luxuries necessities. Whatever is a luxury becomes a necessity after sometime. Then we seek other luxuries and the vicious circle goes on. As I sat in the absolute darkness I realised this is how it would have been when there were no bulbs and fans, no wires to carry the current and no apartments to shack up in. From that we reached the present state which is more advanced. From here, the scope for development is infinite, if we follow the same rule. But will it happen? Or will man settle down with what he has?

At times like this, I feel grateful to a few people who remind me why I am here and what it feels like to be a human capable of feeling emotions. Those people, who remind me what I should do , those people who make me smile, those who frustrate me, those who make a difference whereever they go, those crazy people who stand on the steps of a bus with th e wind in their faces, happily looking at people passing by, the ones who cheer me up, the ones who feel the same way and need cheering up, the ones who live, rather than just come to college and go just for the heck of it, for there is a world of difference between the two.

A friend of mine quoted Einstein's words. "I don't know when the third world war will be fought, but the fourth will be fought with sticks and stones." Man is man's enemy.

After all,

"We're all we got in this world.
When it spins,
When it swirls.
When it whirls,
When it twirls."
-Eminem

Feels good to be back. :)
