The past never comes back...

What would you do if somebody showed up in front of you and told you that there is no present? And that we are living in the past? And that everything is in the past? Spooky heh? But true.

The sun's light takes us eight minutes to reach us. We have light which was emitted eight minutes back. So we see the sun in a position it was eight minutes earlier. Light from stars far off takes millions of light years to reach us. So effectively light emitted when the universe was formed is reaching us now. Think about the delay in sound then.

Everything in space is in the past. So said Dr. Venkatavaradhan, a very nice guy I should say. We do not have anything called "present". So said Stephen Hawking in "Brief History Of time".

So in case you are talking someone far off and you say "I'm Alive", you might end up scaring him out of his senses, in case you end up dying the very next moment before the sound reaches him.

Space time rocks. They say "The past will never come back." I say "Does it even have to?"
